This is what AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING EXPO 2019 in Nuremberg has to offer.
CAD-based augmented reality quality assurance and inspection
Mobile Augmented Reality systems offer a high potential for these and other inspection tasks, as they can be used to quickly compare digital test parts with reality. Deviations between supplied components and their CAD specifications are thus visible at a glance. The underlying VisionLib system combines 3D data with image processing for inspection system solutions: Based on model-based tracking technologies, CAD data is registered in real time on objects captured in camera images. A special feature is reliable object recognition even in low-light and dynamic environments such as production. Participants of this master class will learn more about the possibilities of CAD-based tracking systems for use in stationary control systems for complex inline production processes, which can be quickly and flexibly adapted to different product configurations, for example to fully automatically check, measure and document the position of components during operation. Planners gain insights into the opportunities offered by the solutions and learn about their potential and possible applications.
