AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING EXPO Newsroom

Compact laser welding machine developed

The Evosys Laser GmbH presents at the AEE with the "EVO 2800" the next generation of laser welding machines for industrial production. With this system, customers can use laser welding of plastics in their production faster and more economically.

The "EVO 2800" is a universal laser welding machine for the processing of small and medium series. Depending on the application, the system can be equipped with different laser sources and optical modules, thus offering a wide range of applications. With a footprint of approximately one square meter, the system fits into almost any application environment. Almost maintenance-free and service-friendly, the "EVO 2800" is suitable for use in 24/7 production.

For convenient operation, the system is equipped as standard with the intuitive "EvoLaP" process software and can therefore also implement a wide range of different machining tasks. The machine is designed for manual loading by an operator as well as for automatic loading by a handling or robot system.

The "EVO 2800" goes through the company's own "Calibrated Quality Concept" procedure at the manufacturer. This ensures that the welding process technology is comparable between different systems. The system is available with various online monitoring modules to ensure quality even during production at the customer's site.
