Intelligent vehicle commissioning

The Center for Mechatronics and Automation Technology, ZeMA, is represented at AEE with prototype applications. These include driver assistance systems and chassis commissioning in vehicle flow assembly as well as employee assistance in leak testing in the end-of-line area.

The determination of chassis geometry in the assembly line for the commissioning of driver assistance systems and future autonomous vehicles is a new, intelligent commissioning concept of ZeMA. The prototypically developed production plant can efficiently commission the vehicle systems in the vehicle assembly line. The safety aspect for autonomous vehicles also plays an important role.

Furthermore, a test tool for the supported end-of-line leak testing of vehicles will be presented. This is a hand-held thermographic camera with associated evaluation electronics, which can be used to detect moisture in the vehicle after irrigation has been carried out by the employee and to document it partially automatically for reworking. The hand-guided prototype can be tested at the exhibition for the process of assisted wetness detection.
