Vibration analysis in production

Saab Medav specialises in digital signal processing, pattern recognition and IT solutions. For the automotive industry, the Franconian company offers, among other things, vibration analysis for testing components and machines as well as early damage detection. The "Noise, Vibration, Harshness" (NVH) department of Saab Medav Technologies focuses on quality testing and machine monitoring and supports customers in vibration analysis with a range of system technology and services.

At this year's AEE, the company will be demonstrating various processes such as "Anovis", a platform for end-of-line testing on rotating machines. This makes it possible to detect audible and inaudible abnormalities and faults, increase process reliability and make an exact fault diagnosis. The "Impact" process monitors fast-working production machines such as presses, saws or punches. Acoustic emission analysis techniques are used to evaluate machine noises and vibrations in a targeted manner. The "Crackmaster" is used for component testing using acoustic resonance analysis: Vibration signals contain information about specific product defects. In particular, cracks lead to changes in resonance frequencies.
