AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING EXPO Newsroom
In the research and development centre Automotive Center Südwestfalen (acs), experts from the technology areas CAE, technology management, forming, plastics, joining and testing work on bilateral joint and funding projects that focus on component and assembly development as well as the associated production process development.
122 companies have already joined forces in the ACS sponsoring association. Together with ten partners from this circle, ACS will present itself at this year's AEE. The partners Altair Engineering, Bilsing Automation, Dörken MKS-Systeme, EJOT, GEDIA Automotive Group, KIRCHHOFF Automotive, MKT Metall- und Kunststofftechnik GmbH, Strack Norma, Tillmann Profil and the University of Siegen (UTS) represent with their core competences the different technological areas of the process chain of interdisciplinary car body construction. The joint appearance of the ACS and its partners thus takes up exactly the focus topic "With digital development and flexible production to new lightweight body structures" of the AEE, provides an answer to the interface challenges between the individual core competencies and thus demonstrates the considerable added value of targeted technology cooperation, above all for the OEMs.
